Happy New year! As I look forward to what 2016 has to offer, Here's a wrap up post of my last wedding of 2015.
Charley & Kaitlin were married on a WINDY, frigid day back in November. The girls started out at the church where they had breakfast and started getting ready.
The getting ready pictures are some of my favorite moments on a wedding day. So much happiness for the bride, but a lot of reflection on past memories that brings out the emotions. I always find myself on the verge of tearing up right along with everyone else.
Just a fun fact... Kaitlin actually wore her cousin Brenda's dress.
Kaitlin's cousin Lea did a fabulous job on everyone's hair.
Charley & Kaitlin chose to do something a little different for their first look. They didn't want anyone else around, so it was a special moment for the two of them. After Kaitlin was ready the girls put Charley at the front of the church, while Kaitlin hid in the back until everyone left. I grabbed a quick photo of each of them before we all left. The rest of us went to meet the remaining bridal party members in Houghton for some pictures.
It was FRIGID, but I must say they were all troopers. Charley gave up his jacket a few times.
It was really a fun day filled with fun people!
Charley being dramatic as usual:
The Guys (L to R):
Lucas, John, Ray, Charley, Paul, Jon, & Wade.
The Girls (L to R): Brianna, Lindsey, Kaitlin, Brenda, & Janina
The guys thought it would be funny to hold Kaitlin...
Janina was the only one not too cold to to pick up Charley....
The guys and their socks. Too funny.
The forecast had rain and snow all day. Luckily for us, it stopped for the brief hour we were outside. The minute we got back to the church, it started snowing- imagine that!
The poor ushers really were struggling to get one of the candles lit.
This one might be my favorite of the day:
Making it official.
Congrats Charley & Kaitlin, I hope you are enjoying your new titles as Mr. & Mrs. Heltunen!
Wishing you both a lifetime of love & happiness.
