Trent & Betsy were married on a rainy weekend after labor day. I was cringing on the way over to their house in the rain, but lo & behold…Read More
I have been WAITING to post this blog post of Grace & Evan's day, and I've finally found a moment to sit down and do it. Despite the rain, wind, fog, and cold, Grace & Evan's wedding day was absolutely perfect. Grace is very easy going. You never really know how a bride is going to react- I wasn't sure if Grace would be upset or not at the crappy weather, since we had to change plans for pictures. Let me tell you, she was a dream client! Everything about their day was positive and easygoing. The fog turned out to be sort of romantic.
I started the day at the Hyrkas household where the girls got ready.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Evan Huhta! I hope you enjoyed your time in Hawaii. Wishing you many years of happiness as husband & wife.
Janelle & Joel were married about a week and a half ago. It was a beautiful wedding. It is really weird to see your friends starting to get married, but that's what made this one so much fun to be a part of. Janelle and Joel are two of those people who just belong together and you instantly see that when you look at them.
The girls started getting ready at the church. I was in need of a second shooter so Mary H accompanied me for the day, and she did a great job! You wouldn't know it was her first time second shooting. We met the girls at the church, and the weather was perfect.
One of Mary's shots:
Julie did a fabulous job on the flowers, as always:
Another shot of mary's, she killed it on the details:
Lauretta K and Kelly D did everyone's hair:
With each of the gifts for her bridesmaids, Janelle gave a cute wooden sign that she made HERSELF!
Off we went to meet up with Joel for the first look
The fun part about having a second shooter is having both angles for the first looks. Mary got a lot of nice shots from her side so its always fun to see it from the other perspective.
I was especially happy she snagged this one of Joel grinning as his bride walked up behind him:
As I was weeding through Mary's pictures, I came across this one, which turned out to be one of my favorites because it describes these two perfectly- they both make each other laugh, and their laughs are contagious :)
This was my "awkward" bridal party. They will get the joke.
Jamie did the cake and it turned out beautifully (Ultimate Fake Cakes)
Congratulations, Joel & Janelle! I wish you both nothing but the best as you begin this new adventure together as Mr. & Mrs. Larson.
Brita and Pat tied the knot last weekend! The day called for thunderstorms, but it turned out to be absolutely perfect. We could not have handpicked better weather if we tried!
Sara & I started the day off meeting the girls getting ready at the Pietila household.
... and other than that, I don't have very many words to say tonight, so I am just going to let the pictures tell the story. Thank you so much, Brita & Pat for being so great!
A side note: for those of you who do not know Sara, my fabulous second shooter who also has a business of her own, check out her page novaleeimages.com for some fun stuff! Her images are interspersed with mine throughout this post.
